In the making of Maleficent, Angelina Jolie had a hard time finding a child actress to play young Aurora due to her intimidating appearance. In the end, Jolie’s own daughter Vivienne was chosen for the role. However, it was revealed that the part was initially offered to Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, but she declined. In a 2014 interview with Elle, Jolie mentioned that she had asked Shiloh to play Aurora, but the young girl laughed and said she wanted to be a horned creature instead. A source close to the production in 2012 also revealed that Shiloh was supposed to be in the film, but she ended up not being in the mood on the day of filming. Shiloh, who is often seen with Jolie and Brad Pitt, bears a striking resemblance to her famous parents and would have looked just as cute as Vivienne in the role.
