Kate Hudson recently shared with Byrdie that she believes she’s in the “best pocket” of her life at 43, and now understands why her friends in their 40s have called it their favorite decade. Despite this positive outlook, Hudson acknowledges that aging can still come with challenges.
Hudson shared her thoughts on aging, stating that it can be difficult as it reminds us of our impermanence. She believes that it’s important to ask ourselves what brings us joy and excitement in life. Interestingly, Hudson also noted that men are equally concerned about aging, but aren’t asked the same questions as women. She believes this shows how society is programmed to focus more on external appearances. However, she personally doesn’t let age affect her life or career.
Jumping headfirst into situations has always been my thing, and though it hasn’t always worked out well for me, it has mostly led me down the right path. I have a relaxed approach to growing older and have no qualms about it. As I mentioned during my appearance on the Rachael Ray Show in 2019, I’m enjoying every moment of it. Take a cue from Goldie Hawn, who recently shared her secret to looking ageless at 71.
Hudson is eagerly looking forward to hitting up a bar with her 18-year-old son Ryder, and she doesn’t think it’s strange at all. She finds him to be a blast to hang out with and can’t wait to make more fun memories together. Hudson couldn’t help but gush about her son’s height, mentioning that he’s now almost 6 feet tall. She reminisced about dreaming of the day when she would have to look up at him, and now that day has finally arrived. Recently, Ryder gave her a hug and she was so overwhelmed with love that she nearly burst into tears.
