Cardi B seems to have found herself in the middle of a controversy involving Offset and Quavo’s backstage altercation at the 2023 Grammys. In a video obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the rapper can be heard loudly shouting, “Both of y’all wrong. Both of y’all! This is not right.” It’s uncertain who Cardi was addressing, but it’s possible she was attempting to mediate between the two rappers. As of yet, no official statement has been issued by Cardi’s representative in response to Page Six’s inquiry.
It’s been rumored that Cardi B was involved in a backstage altercation between Offset and Quavo at the 2023 Grammys. The argument apparently began over Takeoff’s tribute performance, as the two Migos members couldn’t agree on how it should be done. According to sources, the fight got pretty intense and had to be broken up before it got out of hand.
According to TMZ sources, Quavo prevented Offset from performing the tribute with him and a physical altercation ensued. Despite the Recording Academy’s request for the pair to perform together, Quavo allegedly refused to let Offset join him on stage, resulting in the feud. Quavo proceeded to perform “Without You” without Offset.

The video footage showed Cardi expressing her opinion, stating “You both are at fault.” She and Offset have two children together, a daughter named Kulture and a son named Wave. Prior to Takeoff’s tragic passing, he and Quavo had a tight bond, while Offset seemed to have drifted away from the group. The trio grew up outside of Atlanta and were related by blood, with Takeoff being Quavo’s nephew and Offset being his cousin.
Last November, Takeoff, a former member of the rap group Migos along with Offset and Quavo, was unfortunately killed. The news was devastating to fans of the group as well as the music industry as a whole.
In November 2022, Takeoff, a member of the rap group Migos consisting of Offset and Quavo, was fatally shot during an altercation at a bowling alley in Houston. Kirshnik Khari Ball, known by his stage name Takeoff, was just 28 years old when he died. Following his death, many celebrities attended his memorial to pay their respects. Offset, Takeoff’s fellow Migos member, expressed his devastation over the loss of his friend.
Prior to his unexpected passing, Cardi had a tight bond with Takeoff who was one of his closest pals.
Before his tragic passing, Takeoff and Cardi shared a close friendship. However, in December of that year, Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested as a suspect in his murder. Cameron Joshua was also taken into custody for carrying a weapon related to the shooting. Clark was released from jail on a $1 million bond but is currently under house arrest with a GPS tracking device. He is prohibited from contacting anyone involved in the investigation of the shooting.
